1. Your Acceptance

Welcome to Remotive. By using our website at www.remotive.com, its mobile version, and any related sites (collectively, the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using Remotive.

These Terms of Use were last updated on March 18, 2026. We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

2. About the Site and Services

2a. Remotive Job Board

The Site is a platform that aggregates and curates remote job listings from third-party employers ("Remote Companies"). Remote Companies are solely responsible for the accuracy of their job listings and for any hiring decisions. Remotive does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of any job listing and is not a party to any employment relationship between you and a Remote Company.

Remotive shall not be liable for any claim arising out of or relating to Remote Jobs, including but not limited to claims for false advertising, misrepresentation, personal injury, death, or property damage.

**Data Accuracy. **The Site may display aggregated information about companies, including but not limited to company profiles, estimated salary ranges, job counts, company descriptions, and similar data derived from publicly available sources, job postings, and third-party data providers. This information is provided for general informational purposes only and may not reflect the current state of any company. Remotive does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of aggregated company data and shall not be liable for any decisions made in reliance on it. If you are a company representative and believe information displayed about your company is inaccurate, please contact us at hello@remotive.com.

2b. Remotive Subscription Service (Job Seekers)

Remotive offers a paid subscription service that provides enhanced access to job listings, advanced search filters, job alerts, and related features (the "Subscription Service"). The Subscription Service is available in monthly and annual plans. Current pricing is displayed on the Site and may be updated from time to time.

Details regarding billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds for the Subscription Service are set out in Section 10b below. Pre-contractual information required under EU law is summarized in Section 11.

2c. Remotive Job Postings (Employers)

Remotive offers paid job posting services for employers and recruiters. Posting jobs on Remotive is exclusively reserved for persons who qualify as professionals within the meaning of the preliminary Article of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation). By posting a job, you acknowledge that you are acting in a professional capacity and do not benefit from consumer protections, including the right of withdrawal. Details regarding fees and refunds for job postings are set out in Section 10a below.

2d. Legacy Products

Remotive previously offered a community product known as "Remotive Accelerator" (formerly "Remotive Community"), hosted on Slack. This product is no longer available for new members. Existing members retain access subject to the terms communicated to them at the time of purchase. Remotive shall not be liable for any claim arising out of or relating to content shared by individuals or companies within the Remotive Accelerator.

Remotive also previously offered "lifetime access" subscriptions. These are no longer sold. Existing lifetime access holders retain access for a period of 3 (three) years from their original purchase date, as communicated at the time of sale. Lifetime access cannot be guaranteed in the unlikely event that Remotive SARL ceases operations.

3. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We will never sell your personal information to third-party marketers. Our Privacy Policy, available on our helpdesk at support.remotive.com, explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

**Single-User License. **Each Remotive subscription is a personal, non-transferable license for the sole use of the individual who created the account. Sharing your login credentials with others, allowing others to access the Site through your account, or using a single subscription on behalf of multiple individuals is prohibited. Remotive reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where unauthorized sharing is detected, without refund.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site, its content, and any services or products obtained through the Site are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. In particular, if you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (garantie legale de conformite) under Articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French Consumer Code, which applies to digital content and digital services. This guarantee ensures that the Subscription Service conforms to what was described at the time of purchase and to the reasonable expectations of a consumer. Your statutory rights under French and EU consumer protection law are not affected by these terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Remotive's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site, its content, or any products or services obtained through the Site shall not exceed the total amounts you have paid to Remotive in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Remotive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, even if Remotive has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence (faute lourde), willful misconduct (dol), or personal injury. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under French consumer law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, data compilations, and software, are the property of Remotive SARL or its content suppliers and are protected by French and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms of Use.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Site or extract data without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or networks connected to the Site.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other accounts, or computer systems.
• Copy, reproduce, redistribute, publish, or make available to any third party any job listings, company data, or other content from the Site, whether in whole or in part, by any means including but not limited to screenshots, downloads, email forwarding, or posting to social media, forums, messaging groups, or other platforms.
• Use job listings or data obtained through your subscription for any commercial purpose, including operating a competing service, reselling access, or building a database of job listings.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials or subscription access to any other person or entity.

9. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe there is an immediate security or operational risk to the Service, your account, or any third-party system. Such suspension is not a breach of these Terms.

You acknowledge that the preservation of security, confidentiality, and data integrity is paramount. Remotive has no liability to you for suspending the Service under this provision, except that any prepaid subscription fees for the unused portion of a suspended period will be refunded or credited at our discretion if the suspension was not caused by your breach of these Terms.

10. Fees, Billing, and Refunds

10a. Job Posting Fees (Employers)

There will be no refunds or credits for partial months of job listings. Job listings recur monthly and the user/client is required to update the auto-renewal on a monthly basis for each job post. First payment is non-refundable. Renewal payments can be refunded, no questions asked, if requested within seven (7) days. Only transaction fees will be retained in that case.

10b. Subscription Service (Job Seekers)

**Plans and Pricing. **Remotive offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Prices include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

**Billing and Automatic Renewal. **By subscribing, you authorize Remotive to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

**Renewal Notifications (Loi Chatel). **In accordance with Article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code, If we fail to send this notice, you may cancel at any time after the renewal date and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription.

**Cancellation. **You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings on the Site. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Subscription Service until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period, except as described below or as required by law.

**14-Day Money-Back Guarantee and Right of Withdrawal. **New subscribers may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of their initial subscription purchase, for any reason. This guarantee meets or exceeds the 14-day right of withdrawal provided to EU consumers under Directive 2011/83/EU. The withdrawal period begins on the date the subscription contract is concluded (the date of your initial purchase). You do not need to provide a reason. To exercise this right, contact support@remotive.com. Refunds are issued as account credit by default, or to the original payment method upon request. This guarantee applies to both monthly and annual plans on the initial purchase only.

**Model Withdrawal Form. **You may use the following form to exercise your right of withdrawal, though it is not mandatory: "To Remotive SARL, 40 Rue Alexandre Dumas, 75011 Paris, France (or support@remotive.com): I hereby notify you that I withdraw from my contract for the subscription to the Remotive service. Ordered on [date]. Name of consumer. Address of consumer. Signature (if sent by post). Date."

**Annual Plans After the Guarantee Period. **If you purchased an annual plan and your 14-day money-back window has passed, you may still contact us at support@remotive.com. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the time elapsed and usage of the service.

**Renewal Refunds. **If you believe a renewal charge was made in error, or you forgot to cancel before a renewal, contact support@remotive.com. We handle renewal refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

**Disputes and Chargebacks. **We strongly encourage you to contact us at support@remotive.com before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are responsive and committed to resolving billing issues quickly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays and complications for both parties.

**Currency. **All prices are displayed in euros unless otherwise indicated. You are responsible for any currency conversion fees charged by your payment provider.

**Taxes. **Displayed prices include applicable taxes where required by law. The final price charged may vary depending on your location due to local tax requirements (such as VAT, sales tax, or GST). Tax calculation is handled by our payment processor (Stripe) based on your billing address. If you are a business customer eligible for VAT reverse charge or tax exemption, please contact support@remotive.com with your VAT number before purchasing.

**US Auto-Renewal Disclosure. **If you are located in the United States, the following applies in addition to the terms above: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you provide your affirmative consent to these automatic renewal terms. After your initial purchase, we will send you a confirmation email that includes: a summary of the auto-renewal terms, the cancellation policy, and instructions for how to cancel. You may cancel at any time through your account settings on the Site, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. This disclosure is provided in compliance with applicable US state auto-renewal laws, including California Business and Professions Code Sections 17600-17606.

10c. Legacy Products

There will be no refunds or credits for Remotive Accelerator or legacy one-off fees, outside of the conditions explicitly stated at the time of purchase.

11. Pre-Contractual Information (EU Consumers)

In accordance with Articles L221-5 and L221-6 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the following information is provided before you subscribe:

12. EU Consumer Rights

Remotive is operated by Remotive SARL, a company registered in France. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or European Economic Area, you benefit from mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law.

**Right of Withdrawal. **As described in Section 10b, EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal beginning on the date the subscription contract is concluded. Our 14-day money-back guarantee meets or exceeds this legal requirement.

**Legal Guarantee of Conformity. **Under Articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French Consumer Code, you benefit from a legal guarantee that the Subscription Service conforms to the description provided and to the reasonable expectations of a consumer. If the Service does not conform, you may request that it be brought into conformity, or, if that is not possible, request a price reduction or terminate the contract.

**Consumer Mediation. **In accordance with Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to submit any dispute with Remotive to a consumer mediator free of charge.

You may submit a mediation request only after first contacting Remotive directly and attempting to resolve the issue. Mediation is free for the consumer and must be concluded within 90 days.

**Online Dispute Resolution. **The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for consumers in the EU:

**Statutory Rights. **Nothing in these Terms of Use limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable EU or national consumer protection law, including under the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation). Where these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence, those rules shall prevail.

13. US Consumer Rights

If you are a resident of the United States, the following additional provisions apply:

**Auto-Renewal Rights. **As described in Section 10b, your subscription renews automatically. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. We will send you a confirmation email upon signup that includes the auto-renewal terms and cancellation instructions. For annual plans, we will also send a renewal reminder before your subscription renews, as described in Section 10b.

**Cancellation. **You have the right to cancel your subscription through the same medium you used to subscribe (your online account). Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period. In compliance with the FTC's Negative Option Rule and applicable state laws, we ensure that cancellation is straightforward and does not require you to contact customer support, navigate unreasonable barriers, or listen to retention offers before your cancellation is processed.

**Refunds. **Our 14-day money-back guarantee described in Section 10b applies to all subscribers regardless of location. US subscribers have the same refund rights as all other subscribers.

**No Discrimination. **Remotive will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights, including by denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of service.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any legal action arising from or relating to these Terms shall be brought before the competent French courts.

In accordance with Article L232-3 of the French Consumer Code, if you are a consumer in the European Union, you may not be deprived of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the consumer protection law of your country of residence. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

15. General Provisions

**Entire Agreement. **These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy and any other terms incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Remotive with respect to the Site.

**Severability. **If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

**No Waiver. **No failure by Remotive to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

**Third-Party Beneficiaries. **These Terms apply equally to, and are for the benefit of, Remotive, its affiliates, and its third-party content providers and licensors, each of which shall have the right to assert and enforce these Terms directly.

**Force Majeure. **Remotive shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, failures of third-party hosting or payment providers, cyberattacks, or any other event of force majeure. In such circumstances, Remotive's obligations are suspended for the duration of the event. If a force majeure event continues for more than 30 consecutive days, either party may terminate the subscription, and Remotive will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period.
